Mayors’ Message

mayor-richardson

Founded in 1782, Green Lake is the third oldest community in Saskatchewan. We are proud of being a part of our Province’s history, and are working toward a positive future. Our Council is working to provide for all the necessary services for a growing community and are continually upgrading them. We have ensured that the environment has been always considered, in future development planning, as we work toward a sustainable future.

Whether you are passing through, or coming to visit, our village and area provide excellent opportunities to enjoy a North-Western Saskatchewan forest experience. Our excellent camping, fishing or hunting opportunities are world class and there are businesses that will help to make your experience, or memorable. One of these is the Lac Vert fully serviced RV park, along the lake shore.

As a place to live, we have been offering cottage lots for sale, close to the lake and where many have found either seasonal or more permanent residential opportunities. Close to Meadow Lake, there is a sense of having a wilderness experience, while being near all the amenities of our modern world.

We are very Proud of our most valuable resource, our people, who we encourage to excel in all areas!

We are truly Proud of our Past, while Working toward our Future.

Mayor Ric Richardson
